Notification of First Term School Based Assessment, 2023

I. Introduction

I am directed to refer your Note for Secretary, School Education Department bearing Diary No. 836 dated 12.09.2023 on the subject cited above and to convey that following instructions/directions be adhered to in letter & spirit:

II. Instructions
Uploading SBA Results

PEC shall ensure that the results of the School Based Assessment (SBA) are uploaded on the School Information System (SIS).

ii. Paper Printing Charges

Paper printing charges shall be incurred from existing PEC budget, and schools shall not utilize current NSB for this purpose.

iii. Database Statistics

PEC shall share the database statistics, including the schools/teachers who generated the papers and the Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) or subject-wise outcomes of the assessment.

iv. Monitoring Procedures

To ensure transparency, the PEC shall not constitute any monitoring team/committee for field monitoring. Instead, the PEC shall establish an internal cell to collect and address queries related to system glitches and shall refer cases of administrative nature to SED. SED shall constitute the Monitoring Teams, and monitoring cost shall be incurred from the existing PEC budget as per PEC rules.

v. Annual Plan Approval

PEC shall submit a comprehensive annual plan and seek prior approval from this Department before initiating any activity related to the subject matter.

vi. Assessment Schedule

PEC shall observe the following schedule regarding each term of School Based Assessment:

• First Term: 1st and 2nd week of October 2023
• Mid Term: 2nd and 3rd week of December 2023
• Final Term: 2nd and 3rd week of March 2024

Note: From the next academic year onwards, rest of the dates shall remain the same except First Term, which should be conducted during the 3rd and 4th week of August.

مجھے ہدایت دی گئی ہے کہ آپ کا نوٹ سیکرٹری، سکول ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے لیے ڈائری نمبر 836 مورخہ 12.09.2023 کے اوپر حوالہ دیا جائے اور یہ بتانے کے لیے کہ درج ذیل ہدایات/ہدایات پر عمل کیا جائے:

PEC اس بات کو یقینی بنائے گا کہ سکول بیسڈ اسیسمنٹ (SBA) کے نتائج سکول انفارمیشن سسٹم (SIS) پر اپ لوڈ کیے گئے ہیں۔

ii۔ پیپر پرنٹنگ چارجز
پیپر پرنٹنگ چارجز موجودہ PEC بجٹ سے خرچ کیے جائیں گے، اور اسکول اس مقصد کے لیے موجودہ NSB کا استعمال نہیں کریں گے۔

** iii. ڈیٹا بیس کے اعدادوشمار**
PEC ڈیٹا بیس کے اعدادوشمار کا اشتراک کرے گا، بشمول وہ اسکول/اساتذہ جنہوں نے پیپرز تیار کیے اور اسٹوڈنٹ لرننگ آؤٹکمز (SLO) یا اسیسمنٹ کے مضامین کے لحاظ سے نتائج۔

iv نگرانی کے طریقہ کار
شفافیت کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے، PEC فیلڈ کی نگرانی کے لیے کوئی مانیٹرنگ ٹیم/کمیٹی تشکیل نہیں دے گا۔ اس کے بجائے، PEC نظام کی خرابیوں سے متعلق سوالات کو جمع کرنے اور ان کو حل کرنے کے لیے ایک داخلی سیل قائم کرے گا اور انتظامی نوعیت کے مقدمات کو SED کو بھیجے گا۔ SED مانیٹرنگ ٹیمیں تشکیل دے گا، اور PEC قوانین کے مطابق مانیٹرنگ کی لاگت موجودہ PEC بجٹ سے خرچ کی جائے گی۔

** v سالانہ پلان کی منظوری**
PEC ایک جامع سالانہ منصوبہ پیش کرے گا اور موضوع سے متعلق کوئی بھی سرگرمی شروع کرنے سے پہلے اس محکمہ سے پیشگی منظوری حاصل کرے گا۔

vi. تشخیص کا شیڈول
PEC اسکول پر مبنی تشخیص کی ہر مدت کے حوالے سے درج ذیل شیڈول کا مشاہدہ کرے گا:

• پہلی مدت: اکتوبر 2023 کا پہلا اور دوسرا ہفتہ
• مڈ ٹرم: دسمبر 2023 کا دوسرا اور تیسرا ہفتہ
• حتمی مدت: مارچ 2024 کا دوسرا اور تیسرا ہفتہ

نوٹ: اگلے تعلیمی سال کے بعد، باقی تاریخیں وہی رہیں گی سوائے پہلی مدت کے، جو اگست کے تیسرے اور چوتھے ہفتے میں منعقد کی جانی چاہئیں۔
